SO MANY CHOICES
Window design choices
From a terraced property to a country pile, period building or contemporary residence, your home was designed to a particular style.
The windows chosen at the time complimented that style and we believe passionately that, wherever possible, it should be maintained or retro fitted.
Stand well back from the property and look at the whole elevation. Does the property stand alone, or is it adjacent to other properties of a similar design?
Are the windows well balanced and symmetrical in design. If not, now is the time to rectify matters. The value of your home and its desirability can be seriously affected by poor window planning.

Timber is ideal for traditional casement and sash windows. With multiple protective treatments and microporous paint sprayed finishes, it can closely replicate the original frames. It is the ideal choice for purists.
Aluminium offers either a complete replacement solution or can be inserted into an original timber surround. This often obviates the need for redecoration of surrounding walls.
Initially, aluminium is scratch anodised to prevent oxidisation and then polyester powder coated from a choice of over 200 colours. This is the ideal choice for replacing ageing draughty and rusting steel windows or to produce a minimalist effect where very slim framing is preferred. PVCu is a more bulky material requiring concealed steel strengthening. It is a functional and generally lower cost option offered in plain or grained finishes available in an attractive range of colours.

This is the crucial first stage of any new project. Apart from providing accurate measurements prior to manufacture, the company surveyor’s job is to convey the exact nature of the site noting where protective coverings are required such as for carpets, stairs, glass roofs, plants and bushes that need attention. He will also take note of any special requests regarding parking of vehicles, clearance of old materials and so on. A health and safety assessment is conducted as part of the survey to ensure that the appropriate access equipment and tooling is used during installation.
A copy of the manufacturing schedule will be presented to the client for sign off prior to commencement of manufacture. Sizes are of course the Company’s responsibility.
This schedule forms the basis of the installers’ site instructions.
The Window Sanctuary employs its fitting staff directly. We have found over many years that the best results are achieved from a team mentality. Regretfully sub contractors rarely display this trait.
While competence is essential, we value attitude to work just as highly and our customers can rest assured that our fitters will act courteously and respectfully at all times and that they are proud to be part of a successful team.
