The brief
Mr & Mrs Stallard initially contacted TWS in 2024, excited by their proposed Kitchen/Diner extension project. We were in turn excited by the prospect of advising them on the right type of doors & roof lantern for their project. It was important to visit the customers in the first instance, prior to any building works, so we could understand how their new family space would be used & therefore which type of doors would suit them best.
Our approach
After careful consideration & visits to our Brasted showroom they decided on our Sanctuary Ultra slim sliding patio doors which maximize the glass area spaces & would flood the new kitchen/diner with natural light. These doors can also be opened from the left or the right making them multi-functional. We also gave our advice on the right type of Roof Lantern to compliment not only the style of Kitchen but also the sleek matt black frames matched nicely their doors. These also have slim sightlines to maximise natural light.
Our approach
Once we had agreed on the products/specification for the new space, Mr & Mrs Stallard asked us to advise on a suitable replacement window system for their existing home, naturally we were only too pleased to offer our expertise. We recommended our Sanctuary flush casement, slim line Aluminium windows which gave a classic but contemporary feel & maximised the glass area space. The matt black frames complimented the style of their home.
Finally, we were asked to advise on their Entrance door, there are lots of choices, materials available on the market, however as their other chosen windows & doors were aluminium this seemed like the obvious choice. We recommended a bespoke Alu-steel door from Bel’m who are a high-quality French door manufacturer. The customers choose their design, textured finish & bespoke furniture which complimented their home & really made a grand entrance.
Our approach
The order was placed then we booked in our site survey so we he could meet with the customers & their builder to discuss the finer details of their order, dimensions/tolerances/new openings/thresholds, all key criteria which need careful consideration to ensure that the finish is to the necessary standards. Ensuring that all of our products meet the latest Building Regulations is also critical & of course part of the service.
Our surveyor then came away, wrote up his survey swiftly so that he could supply the customers with his detailed survey report for them to double check all items were correct, before signing off to enable us to process & order their new windows & doors.
Once the orders were placed with our suppliers, we then made contact with our new customers to advise them of their provisional installation dates.
Courtesy update calls along the way are always necessary, especially in this day & age when life is 100 miles an hour & things can change.
